OUR STORY
The Franklin Showroom traces its origins to Steven Alan, an innovator in the emerging designer space. Originally founded under his name, the Showroom was rebranded to Franklin Showroom in 2017. In 2020, the Showroom was acquired by Lazer Group, a global consulting and advisory agency. This partnership seamlessly combined Franklin’s extensive experience in brand sales and development with Lazer Group’s expertise in operations, finance, and analytics, creating a truly holistic, 360-degree approach to supporting our partners.
Together with our highly experienced teams, led by Samantha Smith we’ve built a showroom infrastructure focused on helping brands achieve sustainable and profitable growth. We go beyond the traditional showroom model by offering industry expert advisment designed to scale, support, and grow dynamic and prosperous businesses.
Since opening our doors over 25 years ago in Tribeca, and with current locations in the West Village and Downtown Los Angeles, we continue to provide dedicated, professional, and enthusiastic service to a diverse group of emerging and established designers. We introduce their collections year-round to a broad range of retailers globally—ranging from unique neighborhood boutiques to large multi-door department stores and web-based fashion retailers.

Accomplished by providing extended services and access to a significant and ever evolving group of global retailers and creating brand recognition through sales positioning in partnerships.

The Franklin Showroom is centered on three symbiotic relationships. First is attracting an exceptional collection of worldwide sustainably focused apparel, swimwear, footwear, denim, and accessory brands that are complementary to one another in terms of price, aesthetic, diversity and distribution channels offering product relevant to today’s consumer. That unique and sought-after collection of brands then continues to attract our cherished retailers which form our second key relationship.
We attract retailers from across the various distribution channels of major department stores, web-based retailers and specialty boutiques. We are grateful for the continued patronage of retailers like Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Shopbop, Revolve, FWRD, Nuuly, Rent the Runway, Net-A-Porter, Harvey Nichols, Moda Operandi, Elyse Walker, Anthropologie, Globus, United Arrows and hundreds of others for making Franklin a key destination for more than two decades during fashion markets. The third interconnected segment is our highly experienced team’s service and dedication to both our beloved designers and retailers.
